Even I was bouncing around from both links. When one got really laggy or paused for minutes at a time i would switch back and forth. I’ve been there since the beginning, and I will always go out of my way to watch his fights. Yet the fight tonight against Dan Hardy was one of GSP’s most boring, hesitant performances, and I am starting to think that, unless he start to approach his fights with a little more willingness to engage (which is what made many of his former fights so exciting), it will only be a matter of time until he ends up like Chuck Liddell: people will figure out his one-dimensional take-em-to-the-ground-game and use it against him. I know that GSP can go toe to toe on his feet, but his stand-up in this fight was non-existent. I really seemed as though George was holding back throughout much of the fight; he had a few opportunities to tap Hardy out, but for some reason those opportunities did not translate to a win. A little word of advice to GSP: swallow your inhibitions and be more aggressive. The next time you have someone in an arm-bar or a kamora and they don’t tap, break their goddamn arm off and end their fucking career for being so stupid. GSP could have snapped Hardy’s arm in two or dislocated his shoulder on at least two occasions (and don’t tell me that GSP couldn’t have simply reefed back a little harder and ended the fight). Yet he didn’t.
